Just got back from Loki & dante's vet visit, and Loki tested negative for parasites. Dr. still wants her to take Panacur, just to be sure that there anren't any parasites that just haven't reached adulthood yet. But at least that is one load off my mind. He also checked her breathing and such and there's no resperatory infection. Still not sure why she has gone on a hunger strike for the past two weeks tho.
Either way I'm still thrilled.
Dante is also on his second week of Panacur, and when I asked the Dr. what his chances are he told me that he's still got a bit of spunk and fight left in him. It's not garunteed, but it helps a little.
Other than that we got to talking about Obi, and the question came up about if I had brought them in sooner did he think, in his professional opinion, that in doing so would've made a difference. I guess the question caught him a little off guard, but he reassured me that short of surgery, which would've more than likely have ended with the same outcome, that there wasn't possibly anything else that could've been done. Turns out he had the same thing happen to one of his animals so knew exactally where I was coming from with all this. Needless to say, I think the 2 hour drive to get there is totally worth it.
