pleasant surprises

i agree with Gazz, if I am understanding correctly
i like the surprises the genetics of raptor, and eclipse gene offer...

I'd like to have any white gecko with red eyes, but I really like the ability to get stripes and reverse stripes out of a project rather than just patternless animals,

Visually no :main_thumbsdown: as it's still a blazing blizzard mack super snow as the eclipse gene would be domananted by the super snow eyes.

I guess you haven't see the Super Raptor's eyes? ;)

Is it just me or does the second link look like it has a short nose?

I dunno, maybe super snow blizzards all have small noses and big eyes.
My male super snow blizzard had a short nose too, but its children who are hets dont.

Yup, to date there has only been the one from my project with kelli.
As least that has been made public...

Well i've looked and what little amounts of SS'RAPTOR's i've found all i see is typical SS eyes in albino form so i fail to see where your going :main_huh: :main_huh: sorry.

Do you mean proven to be or already mated proven? A&M and Ron tremper are the only people I know of with SS raptors ....hatched this year.

Yeah,
I guess not if those hatched this year.
I'm still a little skeptical on whether or not those are actual SS Raptors or just regular SS Trempers who are be interpreted as SS Raptors. I havent seen any comparison pics.

I highly doubt that Alberto made a mistake with his ;) Everyone seems to believe VMS about his SSBB and we all know blizzards can be full eyed, so what makes it a SS blazing ;)

Maybe Alberto will stop by with an updated image of his, but I'd bet my whole collection on his being correct.

I am curious Gazz.....what exactly do you see different in the eyes????

Well with the eclipse gene you would expect to see eclipse in various states i.e snake eye'etc in the SSRAPTOR'S but as of yet snake eye hasn't shown it self.So that tells me that the SS black eye is dominant over the eclipse gene IMO.So i see no differant in how they look just process of eliminastion of snake eye showing it self.No snake eye SSRAPTOR's = SS eye gene not eclipse.

The differant is patternless stripe come with or with out the eclipse gene in my view.Body pattern morph is differant than the eclipse eye morph IMO they are not solely linked not like the SS black eye.Patterness stripe with or with out the eclipse gene is patternless stripe. So patternless stripe and eclipse patternless stripe. But with the super snow the eye makes the morph it has to have black eyes to be a super snow it is linked with the body pattern one dosen't come with out the other.

Gazz.....although you make an interesting point about the way super snow eyes may affect the physical appearance of eclipse eyes...I do believe there has only been three or four of the "Super raptor" hatched as of yet...and I dont think we have even seen pictures of all of these. And I have not heard of the non-albino form of the super snow raptor or eclipse even being hatched or seen as of yet.....so it may be a little premature to say one way or the other. I, personally, wouldnt mind if you were correct.....because it would probably make the morph even MORE desirable because it would have the eclipse gene in it to be used in future projects, but would always show solid red eyes in the albino form and solid black eyes in the non-albino form....which are, to this day anyway, a more sought after visual form of the eclipse eyes anyway.
I just thought you were using this point to show somehow that the SSBB was a far superior animal to the Diablo or Super Raptor...because if people are judging the animals by the look of the eyes in the ONE or TWO pics of the SSBB shown in this thread.....I think we have to remember that eye color is very variable depending on several factors including incubation temperature, lighting in picture, and quality of the picture.
IMO all of these animals are spectacular both genetically and visually and will have their individual followings. But I hardly think any dance on any others' grave.
