Just got my Leo on sunday just a few questions for you guys

1) My gecko appears to have some shedding stuck to his front claws, any recommendations on how i can get that shedding off?? Ive read wet q tips but i would prefer something more hands off since my gecko is still kinda scared of me and skittish.

2) My gecko has spent very little time in his humid hide, is a wet paper towel good enough for a baby? I have some moss but i figured a wet towel would be best til he gets bigger but he spends all of his time on the warm side right over my UTH.

3) More an observation than a question but my Gecko seems to spend more time sleeping next to his warm hide than inside his warm hide. Ive never read anything about that, seemed kinda strange since i figured they preferred tight cozy spots to rest and relax. He just parks himself outside against the wall like a car in the driveway.

4) What is some good general advice for gradual taming of my gecko? As soon as he hears me or i turn on the light he stops what hes doing and runs to his warm hide.

1.) Put leo in tub with some water in it (not too much) and use a q-tip to roll off shed, or you can gently use some tweezers. If you leave him/her in the water (supervised) or in a moist hide, it should take it off.

2.) Put a damp paper towel in the hide. The hide makes your gecko feel secure. Keep misting it every once in a while, and your gecko will eventually go over.

3.) I guess he just feels cozy like that! It's not that big of a deal I dont think.

4.) Handling, Handling, Handling. Hold him/her, and let him/her walk around your for 5-10 minutes a day, and they'll get used to you.

1) A small shedding to his/her claw is not worse it can be left on their until the next time he/her sheds

2) some wet paper towels are fine, make sure to refresh the paper common.

3) The hide should be on the cold side i prefer. Then your gecko will go to the warm site if it feels so. He/she will get use to the movements in the house when she lies on the warm side this is just a ting He/she shall get use to.

4) Put your hand in the cage so and then, Pick it up but not far from the ground just so that it can't fall hard.

Send me a messige if you need more info.
