1.Eublepharis macularius fasciolatus are one of the subspecies of the leopard gecko. I believe they are a pakistani native
2.Eublepharis macularius afghanicus are one of the subspecies of the Leopard Gecko. Their Range includes South-Eastern Afghanistan alongside the Kabul River and its tributaries and also adjoining Pakistani North Eastern Provinces
3.The snow genes are a genetic mutation (axanthism) characterized by incomplete dominate (mack) and dominate(tug, gem)traits. The "cross" to make a snow would have to involve a snow.
4. you would get a "normal" gecko with one allele for normal melanin and one allele for amelanism. in other words all the offspring would be het(erozygous) for that strain of albanism, which is better clasified as amelanistic
5. aberrent is characterized as an atypical patern, similair to a jungle pattern, but generally broken.

As I understand it, the leopard geckos which are the product of breeding geckos that have existed in this country as captive bred for many generations (of gecko) are probably a combination of various subspecies. More recently, wildcaught "pure" subspecies geckos have been introduced and are named according to the subspecies they are.

They are "normal" in a sense. not normal like what you see at chain petstores, but normal for what you see in a specific geographic region in the wild. They are prized by many breaders and hobbiests because their genetics and blood lines are far more diverse than the captive morphs.

so what makes them any different than a normal in a pet store? If you breed one to a albino you will still get hets and then breed the offspring you would get albinos, right? Not trying to argue but dont understand what really sets them apart from a normal. And if they are a different morph than a normal someone should to add them to the leo wiki and explain there genetics. The way it sounds they are the closest to a wild caught we have in the states.
