A Few Questions

Alright, first off, one of my tangs has a white strip behind her head. I found a discussion about it on this forum from 2006 and other websites. I got many different takes on what it meant. Some said its just a marking that slowly goes away with each shed (she is still pretty young), one person said that the stripe makes it not a tang (idk why), and some said its just a little different pattern and means nothing. If any one knows I'd really appreciate your help.

Also, I may plan on breeding in the far future, and was wondering about sunglows and hybinos. I already have a SHTCT male and would like to breed for those listed above. I have a decent understanding of the two and how they may differ, but not entirely sure about how to breed for those possible differences. From my understanding, if I breed a SHTCT with any strand of albino, and then breed the babies together or with the parents to get a hybino. That's what is says here: http://leopardgeckowiki.com/index.php?title=Rainwater_Hybino
Why does it take two generations of breeding? And if it does take two, what does the offspring of the 1st generation look like? And what is the probability of getting a hybino either the 1st or 2nd generation, is it 100%? From my understanding of genetics, SHTCT is just a line-breed phenotype, and albino is a recessive trait. So if I breed the two, the 1st generation would be recessive (het?) for albino and still show some (or all?) phenotype for SHTCT, with no signs of albino right? and then its a SHTCT rather than a super hypo that makes the difference between a sunglow and hybino correct?

Thanks for answering any part of my post :)
And feel free to post pics of your sunglows and hybinos, I'd love to see them and see what kind of albino you like best for these morphs (right now I'm feeling bell :p)

Why does it take two generations of breeding?

First generation: Albino x SHTCT = SHTCT (kinda) het albino
SECOND generation: SHTCT (kinda) het albino x SHTCT (kinda) het albino = 1/4 possibility of Albino SHTCT, "Hybino" or Sunglow.
Two season of breeding because you have to wait for those babies to be mature.

Seems like your train of thought is correct. I consider Sunglows SHTCT Albinos and Hybino just Super Hypo Albinos. Although, some people use Sunglow and Hybino synonymously.

So if I breed a sunglow to my SHTCT it's still gonna take two generations because sunglows are genetically albino with some phenotype of a SHTCT. So genetically speaking sunglows are just albinos right? However, taking phenotype into consideraton I would think that you would get a "sunnier" sunglow starting with a sunglow x SHTCT rather than an albino x SHTCT? Am I right?

It depends how "sunny" sunglow is and how bright this albino is:) Caz maybe this sunglow is not good looking sunglow and this albino is pure white:) So everything is possible, but imo sunglow x hypo should give you "sunnier" sunglow in 2 generations then albino x hypo.

Pros of crossing albino x hypo is that you can choose wich albino strain you want to take. You can pick tremper, bell, rainwater. And if you have some sunglow already then you have 1 choice.

As far as i know, the collar is a Tangerine marking when their young. Just look up pics of babby tangs, they should have the white collar. My HTCT had it aswell.
