:dizzy2:I just recently got my gecko its been just a day over a week since I got her actually and of course naturally she didn't want anything to do with me...Ive had to touch her a few times of course to move her or to herd her to one side so I don't accidentally squish one of her toes when taking her moist hide out to spray more water but when I had she was like "OMG DONT TOUCH ME" (oh also some back story shes climbed a few times on the back of the cage cause I have a backing thats...climbable this is relevant don't worry) So last night I heard her climbing on the back of the cage and looking out the top so I went and watched. She looked like she was having issues going back down cause she had taken a wrong turn and was almost sideways so I held out my hand to give her an optional step of sorts or cushioning if she accidentally slipped and she hopped onto my hand. I put my hand on the bottom of the cage assuming she would step off but she just looked at me...looked at my arm...and started climbing up my arm. This was all very confusing for me since she hadn't wanted me to even touch her before then but she just went on climbed up my arm played in my hair a bit climbed down my other arm and just climbed all over me pretty much and I'm so confused about this still since shes new and shouldn't want me to be touching her so im wondering what is some of the more experienced gecko keepers take on this? I suspect she might have been wanting to use me as a method of escape, to possibly try to hop on me and escape to freedom. But maybe she just wanted to use me as a jungle gym...any opinions? :ears:
