A question about eggs

After your leos lay in their lay boxes how long can an egg remaine in there? Wether its on a heating strip or on a cool part of the tank. How long do the eggs remaine viable?

As long as the egg can remain at the proper temperature and humidity it will be viable. I have heard of some big breeders that only check for eggs every few days. When I have to go away for the weekend I move my lay box to the hot side and make sure the substrate is moist. That's worked for me so far.
