i have an albino mack super snow that hatched on 5/19/10. she will not eat on her own i can get her to eat mealworms out of my hand but i have to rip the heads off and rub it on her lips. how do i get her to eat on her own? i have never had this problem with a hatchling before. could she possibly be blind? any ideas or suggestions would be verry apreciated.

thanks matt

Some of these guys, especially the super snows, can be a real pain to feed. I have had real problems with primarily super snows. If you can get it up to 10 or 11 grams, sometimes superworms do the trick. They're big and move more than mealworms but are not as hard to catch as crickets. I had a poor feeder eat 2 of them at 11 grams. Meanwhile, see if you can push whole mealworms against her mouth with you holding her so at least you can stop having to behead the mealworms first. Good luck.
