I dont think the point is what albino strain but the fact that it has a tiny bit of "snake eye". Maybe its a marble eye? Either way its pretty cool :)

I would like to see a picture of the rest of the gecko's body as well as pictures of the parents if you have them. (which will help determine what albino strain). ;)

Uhhhhh....no. :main_thumbsdown:

I assume you were joking! :main_laugh:

Its the best suggestion I have heard. Its the only suggestion ;)

So what makes you the expert? I dont know about you but Ive never seen a marble eye in person so it was just a thought...

Mr Lizard - I would help you but I dont know how to use flickr. Maybe someone on the forum will help. You could ask in the "General Site Questions/Issues" section of the forum.

Michelle, why are you so upset? I honestly thought you were joking. Jeesh! I'm no expert on anything, never claimed to be, so I'm not sure why your implying that. It's plain rude.

For the record, I actually own a pair of Marble eyes, so yes...I have seen them in person and they look nothing like those, so that makes me one of only a handful who probably have seen them in person. Unless mr. Lizard had a gecko with the marble eye trait before Matt released them, then I highly doubt those are actual marble eyes. Sorry if I ruffled your feathers, wasn't my intention. **quietly slips away back to the fattail section, where nobody will bother me*** ;)

Im not upset. I just thought it kind of looked like a marble eye... Just a teeny tiny bit of marbling in the eye.

I dont see why a guy living in China couldnt have geckos that have the same genetics as a guy in the US who happened to stumble upon a new trait.
I mean there could be hundreds of geckos out there that are het marble eye and we just dont know it. Probably a failure on the part of the leopard gecko community not tracking past generations well.

I also didnt know that you had a pair of marble eyes.

Chris, yours aren't full marbled are they? Maybe his are lower expression like yours? I'd like to see x eye grandmother gecko. Someone help this guy with flickr. Could be a number of eye pigment traits that are coming to the surface.

Mine are around 50-80% depending on what eye you look at on which gecko. Anything is possible I guess. Maybe these eyes are like some of the bell eyes Kelli has that are doing some weird things similar to the marble eye. Great....now I'm interested too!!
