Chris, yours aren't full marbled are they? Maybe his are lower expression like yours?

mine aren't considered lower expression actually. They are filling in more and more as they grow and look nothing at all like mr. Lizards. I have better pics actually and can post if you'd like to see the difference now. I'll have pat weigh in on this with his opinion. Hes the GF authority on the marbled eyes. I think they may have something going on with them, but I don't think they are related to the marble eye strain wearee working with.

I also think that mr. Lizard should test breed them and see if it's a trait that will pop out again and maybe get better. Then we would know for sure if it's a recessive eye trait like the marble eye.

I agree it is probably something different. But over so many years you never know. It is almost impossible to holdback all the hatchlings from a project though. Marble eye will be very exciting next year when they come to the market. Flickr is giving me problems. Someone upload the x eye he was talking about.

There is definetly something different about the eyes, but not marbled eye. Low impression ME look like low impression RAPTORs when they are born and then marble out. I do not see any marbling to that pattern. We have done alot of work with the ME, and hatched quite a few, and I would not think that is related. Now anything is possible, but if it was I with that gecko it would be bred back to a parent to see what happening, or if it is a fluke. Although i do have trempers from time to time have that, I call it paradox spot on the eye, like it wanted to be a eclipse, and it turned out to be just a fluke

Either way I wish you luck in your breedings. And why are individuals fighting in here!!!! Isnt things like this suppose to make us get excited ranther then debate about the small stuff?

The eyes are pretty cool. I agree with Pat, I'd test breed it to see if it's a fluke or there's something genetic going on.
