I just had an epiphany! Well, it's not really an epiphany I guess, but I just realized something about Tiamat's eating habits. It's not that she'll only eat one super per sitting it's because she is a slow eater! lol I have to wait five minutes in between each super! I mean, it's not that I was trying to giver her one right after the other. I would wait a little bit and then try, but tonight I was changing the bedding in my superworm container and realized that there had been two that had shed. Knowing that these white ones are considered delicacies in the gecko world, I gave one to Mandarin and tried to give one to Tiamat knowing that she had already eaten her daily worm.

This was about five-ten minutes after I had fed them initially. Low and behold, she wolfed that worm down like she hadn't eaten at all. Five minutes later, I tried giving her another one, and the same thing happened.

Is this normal? I mean, maybe she just forgot she had already eaten? Does anyone else have really slow eaters? lol

Not that Tiamat really needs to eat more; she's gotten quite heavy....I should take some pics. Mandarin's gotten bigger too....

My smaller gecko Mikko takes a little while to eat too. Not exactly 5 mins between whatever he's eating, but like one or two. That's with mealworms and crickets (haven't tried superworms, they're both too small for the large ones I see at the store), but waxworms... they're a whole different story lol
