Acrilic Paints?

I built a little hut for my gecko to hide in out of popsicle sticks. Its pretty sturdy. What I want to know is: Is it dsafe to paint it with acrilic paints? They are non-toxic. I would put it in the tank after 3+ days outside drying and airing out.

I think its ok, but remember acrylic paints are water based and if any water gets on it you could have paint on your gecko, i doubt that would hurt it but still its up to you.

So, its safe to use, just be careful not to get it wet?
