They announced just this morning on the news that they've changed their mind on this. I don't think they'd have ever killed that little polar bear anyway. How adorable!!! :smitten:
They're all a little "nuts" (pardon my pun, lol). Same old arguement. Knut is in captivity, thusly he is given the most optimum care. Which includes hand feeding.
I can't believe that there's people against saving a poor cub. And from an endangered species, no less!
I don't see anything unethical in what the zoo keepers are doing... They don't seem to want to tame or change the nature of the bear in any way. They just want to keep him alive, just like we do with our captive reptiles. Sure he would have starved in the wild, but he's not in the wild anymore... When will people learn that what happens in the wild it's not always acceptable in captivity?
I really hope they decide against this. LOOK AT HOW CUTE IT IS!!! The poor cub didn't do anything wrong. It's mother never gave it a chance so we can right? I don't see any harm in rescuing an animal that needs help.
i think the animal rights groups should concern themselves with abused animals not an endangered species that needs to be protected, this bear is cute and its life is worth saving.
