Well i went down to the pet store just to look and my friend was having me check the sexes of the leopard geckos when he told me that the one was really weird and would walk in tight circles (some other odd behavior too), i looked at it for a while and i told him it was most likely enigma syndrome. He said that people were asking what was wrong with it and that it wasnt good for business so they let me take it home, free of charge. I would like to double check the morph, my guess is Patty Enigma? He is the calmest gecko i have ever held.

Here he is, sorry about the resolution i had to resize a lot.

Definitely an enigma. Might be hypo or patternless, I'd need someone else to verify this. The white nose is a hallmark of eclipse, so I'd say you've got a pretty nice gecko right there!

Nice

My father says nothing in life is free. I tell him the best things in life are the free things.:main_thumbsup:lol You definitely proved that, what an awesome gecko. I think my next gecko in a year or so may be an enigma I'm going to read alot more about them or as much as there is to read.

AWESOME, i knew i had to go there that day for something lol :]
Ill get some macro eye pics tomorrow. If i breed him to non enigmas the syndrome will breed out right? I would like to fatten him up and maybe use him at the end of this season if im sure the syndrome wont be in all the babies.

thanks

He's a beautiful snake-eyed Enigma :main_thumbsup::main_thumbsup::main_thumbsup: However, you can NEVER be sure the Enigma syndrome won't turn up in any of his offspring. Even if you have breeder animals that are Enigmas without the syndrome, you can get offspring that has it. You either have to run the risk, or keep him as a beautiful pet only! Nothing wrong with that; people will envy you for him :main_yes:

"Outbreeding" never worked for me so far. Somewhere down the line, the syndrome turned up, even when I used pure wild-caught ones to outbreed, and paired them with Enigmas that didn't show any syndromes.

You should certainly read up
and learn more about the
enigma syndrome before breeding.
IMO it makes for a sad case in the gecko world.
Take care. HJ

I understand that there is a risk and i know the controversy about the breed. Im asking questions so i can learn more. Im not about to just breed him without knowing everything i can, so dont worry.
