I may be adopting a fat tail gecko from a reptile rescue after Memorial Day, if it's still available (I'm in Boston and the rescue is in NJ, so I can't get there till then). In the process I was looking on petfinder.com and was impressed by the number of geckos and other lizards available throughout the country. Most of what's out there are snakes, turtles and iguanas but there are a number of beardies, leopard geckos, uromastyx and other stuff. We post a lot about rescuing geckos from pet stores which can have ethical issues, but if anyone would like to do the good deed of rescuing and also support a worthwhile shelter it's worth checking it out.

i agree, some of the people on here have tons of leopard geckos, i know most of them are great looking morphs and projects for breeding, but if they can make the room for just one more and they could save just one from a rescue i think it would be so worth it. Besides, you might be surprised with what you find!
