Hi folks,
I am the proud daddy of a beautiful beardie...
my partner bought me a new exoterra tall, extra tall terrarium - she knew I wanted a new one.
its high, as opposed to long, so it won't do for my beardie.
So.... I need some new pets!

I think I have decided on Cresties, but... it's a really big tank. my plan is to use live plants (in pots, so I can stick with paper towel substrate...).
My question is - with a tank that big, can i, should I, get more than 1?
It seems a rather large enclosure for 1 little crestie.

I was thinking 1 male and 2 females, but the internet is full of mixed info.

Advice?

If you have never cared for cresties before, I would recommend starting with one. They are not hard to care for but this route would be better at least until you get comfortable with there care.
If you have experience with them then you can keep a pair of cresties together if you choose, but unless you plan on breeding them I would stick to keeping only females together. JMO. Good luck.

If you wanted to house more than one, you can do MAYBE two females depending on the dimentions.
Males need to be seperated from females out of season to avoid over breeding - so thats not going to work.

Females can still battle for food, so you'd want to set up two feeding stations.
Honestly, I'd do just get one to be on the safe side.
