AFT tails

How long does it take for a lost tail to regenerate on a fat tail? I'm thinking about buying a female, but they want $50 for her, she's 3 years old and tail is growing back. I wanted to get one to breed, but if she's putting a lot of energy into tail growth, would it be healthy for her to breed now?

Thank you!

Do you know when she lost her tail? If it's just starting to grow back I would suggest waiting a month or so before you breed her. Actually, even if she's a good weight and eating well and the tail has been growing for awhile you should quarantine her for at least a month before introducing her to a male, so it's just about the same either way.

Thats kind of exspensive for a regenerated tail.
You can proly find a healthy adult, with a nice origonal tail for that price.
