OK, so Christmas is already gone, and I'm stuck here at work today. :( Why does it feel like I should have two weeks off like my kids? *sigh*

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas, we sure did!! Of course, my house looks like Christmas exploded all over it - could barely find a path to walk through today - but my sweet hubby is cleaning it up today. :D

I love this time of year so much; it just feels kinda hollow when it's all over. Anyone else feel like this? I know there are people who are relieved when it's over........

Thanks for listening. :)

I feel just like that! I hate how everything builds up to the big day, and after it just seems like we all go back to our normal lives...

It needs to be like antibiotics:Wheh you take antibiotics, you take pills to come down slowly off of them. We need a pill to come off the Christmas high. lol....not the best analogy ever but it works....if you understand antibiotics. :D

What I believe is that if we all give and be merry all year long like we are at CHristmas, then the world would be a much happier place.

Hope you had a great Christmas!

Christmas blues...

I hear ya Debbie...

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are such 'magical' times of the year... everything and everyone just slow down, for 1 day.

I just wish we could all learn to live like that more than 1 day out of the year!

This was my first California Christmas... and I loved it! I must say though... I've very excited, as I'm going to Disneyland for New Years! woohoo!

I hope it gets warm again soon... tehehehe. :main_yes: :D :main_yes:

Malorie are you on opiate replacement therapy, because Suboxone isn't a antibiotic :main_lipsrsealed: I am not for the record.

Sorry Debbie, no kids, no unnessasary gift to navigate and no job to return too...

I do miss the build up though

I drive past the mall daily, but I'll never go to it after thanksgiving and before jan 10 ;)

I must say driving Christmas eve was a joy! We only found 3 drunks white knuckling the wheel and squinting while they used 3/4 of the road.

OMG!! Here in California, they had lots of signs saying "Report drunk driving. Call 911." If you've ever attempted to call 911 from a cell phone in California, you'd laugh right off your seat. I've *never* called 911 from a cell and not been put on hold for a minimum of 5 minutes........

And I agree, the scrooges and crazy shoppers I won't miss. But overall, I miss Christmas already. And I think you're right, Paul.....having kids makes it way more special (to me) because it's so special and magical for them.

Oh if I had kids, I'd need a tree for each one.

Call 911, not me:main_evilgrin:

I know how you feel! It is always sad when Christmas is over, my visiting family leaves and I'm left all these new toys filling every inch of the house (LOL). But I am lucky that the semester doesn't start until the end of January at one college where I teach and not until the first week of Feb for the other. So, I have lots of little projects - mostly gecko-related - that I'm looking forward to. :main_yes:

Kids do make Christmas more enjoyable.

Why can't Christmas be every day?!?! ummm Maybe cause my kids are spoiled enough!! LOL

i feel ya there. here in my house we have it real bad in december. in a 12 day span we have my daughters birthday, wedding anniversary, my birthday and christmas. i get burnt out by this time but i love to watch my family open gifts. and i wont lie i like to open them 2, i never really had christmas till i got married. but i would say that my daughter is probably the most spoiled kid i have ever seen

I guess I just like the *season* of Christmas, not necessarily everyone *getting* stuff all the time. It *is* fun to see the gifts the kids made/chose for other family members get opened, because I can see in my kids eyes' the reward of giving to others.

I personally enjoy the magic of the season, not necessarily the presents of the actual day. On another note, it snowed here last night!! Another magical happening for these parts. Three days late, but welcome anyway. (My friends in the midwest keep saying they're going to send some snow in a box.........now they don't have to!! :main_laugh: )
