Ok, just a quick question...at what age or weight do leopard geckos begin to mate? I know what weight the SHOULD mate at, but I'm just wondering because I have a male (that I just found out was a male) that is a few months old at my guess and a female that is a litle over two months old. I do have them in the same tank and was wondering if I shoul separate them right now, or if they would be fine for another month or so. Any thoughts? Thanks in advanve.

i would seperate them just in case. you dont want here producing any eggs really early as it can be fatal.

Ok, I guess I'll do that as soon as I can. I'd hate to lose her because of it. She's a pretty little super snow.

Lets put it this way--My giant Raptor male is about 10.5" and 120g, he saw a 5" long 30g Afghanicus female in a tub next to him, and he tried to mount her...crazy hormones! thankfully, he didn't bust through the wall...:D

Definately separate them as quickly as possible--the male is probably going crazy...

I had a female ovulate very early (less than 6 months old), so I would seperate them soon.

I seperated them during my lunch break. I guess we'll find out if anything happened. I hate splitting them up though because they are so cute together. They usually share the same hide and everything. Oh well, absence makes the heart grow fonder....right?
