Air exchange and temperature fluctuation

I'd like to know how much fluctuation do you get when you open the lid for air exchange? I have 2 probes inside my container, and as soon as I open the lid, the temperature dropped from 89F to 86.5F (then took about 20 minutes to get back to 89F). Will this sudden drop cause deformity of the babies? My eggs are just 1 week old.

No. That is the temp of the air changing that fast not the temp of the embryo and substrate its in. You don't have to really exchange air that often if you have a decent sized container that the egg is in.
