So my temper albino when hes hunting misses the cricket a lot when i actually give it to them. And sometimes misses the meal worms too. I'm assuming this is just because albinos are sensitive to light. But if any one can confirm this that would be great.

Idk...my Trempers and Raptors have been great hunters over the last week. However my non-albino Blizzard is kinda random...sometimes he catches the cricket perfectly, and sometimes he misses entirely (last night he got a mouthful of toilet paper which is his potty area lining).

For him, it seems to be more related to his alert level.
-Is he relatively hungry (been a while since last feeding)
-Is it time for him to wake up?

Generally, I can tell if he is going to be accurate or off-target: If I slid open the tank-lid, and he POPS his head out of the hide, he is going to be ACCURATE because he is awake and hungry. If he doesn't come out right away or just walks around slowly, his attempts are sluggish too.

I honestly thought the same thing once till the worst aim ever was an afghan female I had. And a few of my raptors have dead on aim.

From going to many shows and talking with many people, I have heard this same story over and over with albinos. 100% of the time lights were being used to provide heat for the gecko. I recommended removing the lights and using UTH. I received about an half dozen Email or phone calls thanking me for the advise and their geckos now hunt without issues.
