Idk about the 2k, but like you said it depends on the quality of the animal, the market, and the reputation of the breeder. Temper Redstripes are definitely out there, several breeders are currently working with them. For a decent Tremper Redstripe I would pay around $200-$400, depending on the quality. A real Redstripe lover would be willing to pay more though for the higher end ones I'm sure.

Its just a very interesting morph and depending on coloration I've seen huge ranges. For Raining Redstripes I'm not sure they are worth all that much because well as babies they are amazing, but when they mature they don't look so attractive lol. I have a handful of Tremper Redstripes but still waiting on solid colors to come through. The head on them is really starting to show 4-5 different shades/colors. Hoping to get some up to date pictures if anyone is interested in seeing them. Thanks for all the responses

It's not just RW Red Stripes that lose color when they mature, it's all Red Stripes in general. I think it's a big factor in why they dropped in popularity a few years ago. By crossing them with bright Tang lines that hold color well into maturity, there have been positive advancements in getting Red Stripes to hold color.

I have several Raining Red Stripes which do fade considerably after breeding. I also have Firewater Red Stripes, which are Red Stripe Rainwaters that have been crossed with Firewaters for a few generations now, and they have kept their colors after a season of breeding better than any other morphs I have worked with.
