Genetically speaking, the albino gene(s) and Blizzard gene are two completely separate recessive mutations. Albinism is caused by the inability to process melanin (dark pigment) while the Blizzard is a separate patternless mutation. Breeding an albino to a blizzard would result in normals double het for albino and blizzard. As for their phenotypes, albino geckos typically are yellowish with pinkish bands and silver/pink eyes, while Blizzards can range from white, gray, or even dark grayish with steely gray-blue eyes. Does that help at all?

Well, when you're comparing a Blizzard leopard gecko to any one of the three strains of albino, it's not really the eyes that distinguish them, it's the phenotype (physical appearance). I personally don't think it's very hard to get the two morphs confused, Blizzards are pure white/gray while albinos are typically yellow-and-pink banded. There are lots of pictures on the internet of all the various morphs out there, look though them and you'll see there's a big difference between the two.

Are you talking about the different albino strains in saying this? In that case, eye color does play an important role in identifying the particular strain of albinism in a gecko, as the three strains all possess different eye colors. But, like I said, with Blizzard and albino, it's pretty hard to get them mixed up.
