I put in New CGD everyday, or as soon as the food has gotten dried, you know gets that nasty layer on it. I Feed him Crickets, at least once a week. and occasionally a mealworm or two but he hates mealies and will rarely take them.

So I noticed I can just barely see his spine, and it's been this way for a little while now.

I just can't seem to get him to gain weight

Also I know when geckos are dark they aren't very happy, correct. Well he is dark 95% of the time.

I mist his cage twice a day, I have plants all over the cage, the temperature is around 72 degrees, the substrate is moss, I have his cage covered with a blanket, except for the front and their it is only covered half way to keep humidity up.

His cage is a 10 gallon on it's side, he has a dried vinegrape in there as well. And the humidity I can only manage to keep it up to 50, I try and try to get it higher but if I do get it to the required, the cage is soaked beyond belief.

Do you think he needs more light or warmth or what.

I don't want my Tetsuya to be unhappy and skinny.

Take me blanket off the cage and put a small garbage bag over 75% of the top to raise the humdity. Also, has he pooped lately? He could be impacted. Moss is not a good substraight unless it is peat moss and can cause impactions if swollowed. You can also try a different cgd. I use Clarks gecko diet www.pmpreptile.com I think. Mine love Clarks and never eat the T-Rex/Rapashy very well.

You should post some pics
and how long have you had this gecko and how old is it
is he living alone?
He is about 8 month, his previous home for about 4 months of his life was a 2.5 gallon aquarium he shared with his brother. I thought the moss was perfect because it held moisture, what do suggest then? He has pooped, he poops really well. But he also has a problem with his feet, they aren't very sticky at all, there is no stuck shed on them either. I'll post pictures as soon as I can. I have had him since the beginning of November

If he is pooping he is eating. It could be that he is only eating a few crickets. So he may not be getting the nutrition he needs. Paper towels are a great substrate, they hold humidity and almost never get ingested. If he is dehydrated his feet want stick very well. Be sure to keep a bowl of water in with him. If you keep having trouble call a vet. Again a garbage bag on top of the tank will increase the humidity like you will not believe.
