Hi all,

I posted some pictures recently of Amber's Home, and thought it was about time to post one of her :) Well, I say "her", I'm still not 100% sure that amber is a female. She's my very first leo, and I've had her now for almost two weeks. She seems to be settling in just fine, and a little attention every day is making her more and more comfortable with the prospect of being handled. The pet shop told me she was about 4 or 5 months old. The pet shop didn't seem to know what she was, so after a bit of my own research I came to this conclusion, that I think she's a SHTCTB. Is that correct? Unfortunately, this picture doesn't give credit to her colour, as it was taken on my phone. Also, I think she's about to shed soon, so her colour isn't that vivid at the moment. I was so surprised that she was on top of the log, as she normally hides. I just had to capture her climbing adventure :)

Her tail looks to be fattening up nicely. Based on her size and the age you were given I'm guessing she is probably female if you don't see any boy parts. I hope you enjoy her.

Aww, she says thanks for all your nice comments :) She has just shed right now, in the last hour. First time I've ever seen a leo shed, wow! She looks so much brighter now, I'll have to post some updated pictures soon :)

Hi Dakota. She is a sweetie.
Like the set up you have for her.
I see she likes her Burl Wood too.
They are smooth climbing.
Hope you have a top on the tank.
Mine climb the burl wood and look
to see if the screen top is on.
Some are very surprising jumpers at times.
Looks good. Thanks for sharing.
Take care. Hj

Thanks, I'm glad ya like it :) Yeah, I keep the screen lid on at all times, just in case. I've just found out another use for the wood I have in there. Well, last night, instead of going into the moist hide to shed, she seemed to rather rub herself against the wood. I guess that was in order to start the shed off. I sprayed her with a lil water, which seemed to help. It was the first time I had seen a leo shed, it was pretty amazing. She's got all of her old skin off now, even around her toes, so that's all good :) Now she's back to her usual bright golden yellow colour! I'll keep trying to get some good pics of her that actually give a good representation of how pretty she is. Seen as she is young, and still a lil jumpy about being picked up, it's hard to take her out of her home. Thus, the lighting in there isn't the best. Maybe I can get some pics soon when I weigh her. I weighed her the other day and she's 25g exactly. I think that’s about right for a 4 or 5 month old female.
