An egg that's been dented since we found it..

Alright, so here's what's happened so far.

6 month female was "accidentally" bred to my almost 2 year old male when my sister mistakenly put them together for "just a minute" while she fed my other female. :main_no::main_angry:

A month or so later she laid two what-I-assumed-to-be infertile eggs on the tile over the heater. :main_rolleyes: (she seems to be doing really well, btw. :D Good appetite, not a lot of weight loss, a lot of calcium intake, etc) I'm not home right now so my dad ended up trying to gently pry them up because they were stuck to the bottom, as will happen when they're laid over a heater. They were stuck together and one of them was obviously yellower than the other. My sister put them both in the incubator, anyway, in the hopes that they would hatch...even after I told her it was highly unlikely they're fertile

She sent me a picture the other day and one looks very yellow, and the other looks to be a brownish color. I told her to throw them away, she won't.

I'm not sure if it was the lighting in the photo, or what, but my dad is convinced that one of them "really is white. And it's a lot harder than the other one too...not like chicken egg hard...but it's hard" That same egg has also had a "dent" in it since it was laid.

So I guess my question is, should I keep pushing my sister to toss both the eggs, or do you think this little one could make it? I know it's hard without seeing them, I guess that's why I'm asking here.

Tomorrow I'll go home and have a look for myself/possibly candle the egg everyone but me seems to think is fertile.

(sorry for the length here, just wanted to make sure the whole story was told)

I would keep them until they're moldy and smelly. You'd be surprised at what eggs can hatch sometimes.

They're saying that the incubator smells to high heaven, but I'm pretty sure it's the mushy yellow egg that I'm positive is infertile. Maybe I'll remove that one and see how the other fares.
