Hi everyone.

I'm not sure where to begin so I will start by introducing myself.

My name is Allie and I'm 28 years old. I live in Ohio with my roommate and my house full of furred, feathered, and scaled family members. I work at a veterinarian's office and have always loved animals. I don't think there has ever been a time where I did not have a pet - I'd be lost without animals. Currently, aside from my leopard geckos, I also have dogs, cats, a cockatiel, a Syrian hamster, a Roborovski hamster, gerbils, and mice. I also have a crested gecko and a gargoyle gecko. So, obviously, I am not new to the reptile world. However, I am new to leopard geckos. And, that is what has brought me here.

I just acquired two leopard geckos. They came from someone who had bought them last week from PetSmart and then decided they could not keep them. And, instead of returning them to the store, tried to find them a permanent home. And, I happened to be it. I know the potential dangers associated with pet store reptiles and have already had them examined (including a fecal check). Unfortunately, aside from ensuring that they are not carrying parasites, the vets I work with are not experienced with geckos. I do have another vet lined up for the future, but, for now, I am left to figure things out on my own. And, cue the reason for me coming here today...

Thank goodness I happened upon this website. I am sure it'll become a valuable tool for me and my leopard geckos going forward. And, I look forward to meeting everyone and getting to know you all (and vice versa) in the future. This will be a new endeavor for me, but I want to ensure that I am doing all that I can so that I have two happy, healthy leopard geckos. This site looks as though it will help me to do that. And, I look forward to learning, growing, and sharing with everyone here.

Thank you all for being here. I guess I'll see you around.
