I'm trying to be able to distinguish them by the eyes, but every time I guess one it ends up being the opposite. What also confuses me is when people say, "that pattern looks like a..." What are the distinguishing patterns between the two? So, Bell or Tremper?

Bells can sometimes have more lavender but its not a sure fire way to tell. That gecko has dark eyes like a tremper.
That being said, now that we have "bubble gums", I dont rely on guessing with that either.
If theres doubt, just dont breed and youll be ok :)

I just thought the Bell/Tremper question boils down to the breeding line the leo came from. For example I just purchased a snow from the Tampa Repticon that came from a breeding colony purchased from Mark and Kim Bell. I am sure they breed for certain traits but if you know the breeding history of your particular Gecko you should have no issue with this question. You should be able to ask the person you purchased the Gecko from for this info and if they don't have it I would suggest not purchasing Gecko's from them at least if you plan to breed at any point.

it looks weird... in the 3rd pic the pupil looks pink like in bells, but in the other pictures the veins look grey like in tremper... i say it really could be a bubblegum (or whatever you call a bell-tremper)

Like others have said ask the breeder you got it from and if you cant then dont breed and dont buy from them again...
My guess is tremper but its just a guess based on the eyes in the last couple pics.

Yeah I'm just planning on keeping her as a pet. She's from a petstore so I wouldn't think about breeding. I'm just curious, and am trying to learn more on the identification process. thanks for the responses. She does have red pupils, as you can see below.

As far as the veins go, from what I can see, they look like a reddish-brown to me
