Lots of gecko breeders who have been around for years are dropping left and right. I think I'm joining the club. I will not give up the hobbie and I've had some good times and met great people. Unfortunately this hobbie seems to be going in bad direction everything is just about money and getting a bargain. I see people hear dedicate there life to the hobbie and helping people then those same people buy geckos from some chain to save 10 then when its sick or dies they come crying. On a positive side after I sell off some of my stock and racks I will still do one pairing a year because I love this to much to stop.

Or just do a few select high end clutches a year with the money from stock and racks sales...less Hassel with high end animals

Sorry you're getting out. I cut down my female breeders from 8 to 5 because it was hard to move things. Your geckos are lovely and I hope you can keep going in a more limited fashion. I'm hoping that enough people will have bad experiences going the cheap route and will realize that there are other choices.

Sorry to hear. =( I always loved seeing the pictures of your geckos. I definitely understand your frustration with the community. It's frustrating to try and help someone and have them blow you off because they don't feel like taking these animals seriously. People are always trying to cut corners (especially when it comes to breeding...) and it's tough to see people do that when others have put so much soul into their work.

Thanks guys. JM already have lots of high end breeds and offspring. Lost count of how many w&y i have these days. I just going to keep the best I have and do one breeding a year. I only vend at shows but even at shows there are all these hacks selling sickly genetic messes for less then they have in food in them. I've always enjoyed helping people I've meet but know very few seem to have any morals or ethics, herd a vender telling a young girl she doesn't need calcium or even a heater to keep one. Maybe go back in a few years one all the hobbie of the month people realize there not getting ritch breeding give up.

Sorry to see you leaving, too. I agree that things are very frustrating in the hobby right now. I just can't get out yet because I still love breeding them too much. I hope you still hang around here every so often.

Don't worry I'll still drop in all the time just won't be producing much anymore. I will always love and own these critters
