Ok, so I am about to build my new rack within the next couple of days. I got the wood cut and everything. There are a couple of things that I am unsure on though when it comes to using a heat cable.

1. Is one pass per shelf good?? Or do you need more than one pass. I am heating mostly 6 qt tubs. I have some 15 qt. tubs though.

2. Will direct contact between the heat cable and the tubs melt the tubs?? I do not have a router so I am just going to have to lay the cable just on top of the wood.

3. Should there be something between the heat cable and the wood??

Any help would be be very much appreciated. Help out the NEWB, hahaha. = )

I use 2 passes except on my bottom shelf i used 3 passes

No. and if you can find a way to recess the cable into the wood it makes it easier when taking tubs in and out.

Not necessary
