Another Question About The Thermometer Probe

Okay. So for the last day or so I've noticed that my ground temps on the warm side have been about 90-91. This right over the UTH. So I'm like, "uh, that should be a bit warmer, shouldn't it?" So I turn up the rheostat a little. No change. Turned it up some more. Temp went up .2 degrees.

So now I'm wondering if my rheostat is borked or something. Then I get the bright idea to put it in the warm hide. It's a balmy 104.4 degrees F in there! I turned the rheostat down, but now I'm wondering; where is the proper place to put the probe; inside the warm hide on the ground, or outside the warm hide on the ground??

Tiamat isn't the type to hang around outside her hides so chances are she's going to be in the warm hide. This explains why she's been using her cool hide more. It's too FREAKIN' HOT in the warm hide! (Although she has been using her warm hide a few times, she'll lay with half her body in the hide and her head poking out for a few minutes.)

Atleast I know my rheostat's working to some extent. I think I might look into getting another one. I'm currently using one of those 'foot' light adjusters. :\

My probes lay inside the hide on top of the tile or paper towel so I know the temp that they are laying on.

Whats TW? I dont play any pc or console games. Well, I would play a few games on xbox 360...except my bf is always hogging it lol

TW is Tribal Wars. It's a browser based war game that I play. My dorkiness is really coming out today. lol

Anyway, the main point of the game is to "nuke" other villages and steal them to take over the world. NUKE is a common phrase for TWers which is why I asked. I'm always dropping nuked into really life stuff. Like with road rage, "If only I had a nuke you wouldn't be cutting me off!!"

Oh...haha. I've played WoW before...so therefore my dorkiness is equal to yours lol. My boyfriend told me I nuked his bubble one time when I told him he couldnt buy something...so thats where I got it from lol

Ill ask him tonight. Yea...dont try WoW. I played for 10 hours straight once. No bathroom, smoke, drink, eating, or stretch breaks. Its A-D-D-I-C-T-I-V-E!!!
