This is Leela, she's a normal 10 year old gecko.
For 6 or 7 years, she lived with a very neglectful owner. She was only fed when the owner noticed that her tail was shrinking. Eventually, she was rescued by a vet tec, and then donated to my lab. When she came in, she weighed a mere 22 grams...
In my lab, she was taken care of by several zoology majors. The lab's purpose is to give zoology students experience in animal husbandry and it's also a nice room to show off during tours for high school seniors.
This is a picture of her a year ago. She's been living in the lab for about 3 years now, and my prof decided that she should have a proper home, and I jumped at the chance to take her home with me and my fat tail. Oh, and she weighs 75 grams now!
