Another tail kink question

Im wondering how do geckos get genetic tail kinks in the first place...

Is it from inbreeding or just a random genetic abnormality?

Can geckos with tail kinks produce geckos with other flaws like eye lid notches or is that not genetic?

Some (I'd venture to say most..) tail kinks are caused by temperature fluctuations during the incubation process. These are not genetic and cannot be passed on to offspring.

Some, however, are genetic. Inbreeding is a good guess, I don't know for sure.

Yeah I knew about temp fluctuations causing it.. forgot to mention that.
I was just asking about the genetic ones.

This is silly but can you tell by the way the tail is kinked if it is genetic or from temp fluctuations?

Are there other ways a tail can become kinked or does it only happen when incubating? Like if a tail tip got caught in a deli cup while it was being closed... well then that would probably pinch the blood flow and cause it to fall off right? But not if it were only minorly pinched, then it would straighten back out or not?

Well if inbreeding were to cause tail kinks then wouldnt outcrossing get rid of them? Making the genetics stronger might be the answer...

Sorry for all the hypothetical questions just trying to understand it better.
