Another UTH question. lol

Ok I just picked up a zoo med and it says not to use on plastic . Well my cage that I was planning on using it on is a Vision cage. Anyone know if it would be ok to mount it under the cage? Or would it be better to mount it to a piece of glass first then put that under the cage? or just forget the UTH all together?

i would just put it on plastic anyways as long as you have a thermostat controling it so it does not get to hot

yeah I have a thermostat control for it. So I just attached it to the bottom of the Vision cage and have it set for the right temp. doesnt seem hot or anything yet and the thermastat thing is keeping the temps perfect so far. I cant really picture this thing heating up past what my thermastat is set for and actualy melting the thick plastic of the Cage. I also have a good gap between the cage and the stand its on so heat wouldnt build up at all.

How would you suggest mounting the UTH to the bottom of the Vision cage then? cant think of any other way.
