Any ideas on feeding a blind leo?

I have a beautiful albino male who I've had for a few months. He never did eat well and couldn't seem to catch crickets on his own. He also didn't seem to see some of them when they were right in front of his face. I took him to a rep vet recently after watching him when I re-arranged the cage and they tell me now he's blind (thanks a lot ********...). I have been hand feeding him crickets by rubbing them against his nose and he's taking maybe one or two every other day. I'm dusting half of them with Repti-Cal and have even tried mealworms, waxworms, and pinkie mice (to help get some of his weight back up), but he only hesitantly takes the waxworms and none of the mealies or pinkies. Any advice on bulking him back up? I was thinking of mortar and pesteling (sp?) the crickets into a paste and dropping the goo on his nose to encourage him to eat.

First off, before anything, get him off of the sand and onto either paper towels, repticarpet, or tile. Especially if he's blind, he's even more inclined to accidentally ingest the sand. (Sand can cause deadly impaction!)

I would keep rubbing the food on his nose, if he's been taking it, he obviously knows what it is. He'll eat as much as he needs.

i would use meal worms the gecko may not be able to see but their hearing is very good and since he is blind that is how he will find his food.

GET HIM OFF SAND very dangerous and its even more dangerous considering he's blind, if u want him to gain weight you should try and hand feed him more often
