Im looking for something that I can put my Leo's on other than sand or that crapy carpet stuff.

The best ones are paper towel and tile.
I prefer tile.
Hot can be 88 F - 93 F
Cool is room temp, but shouldn't be less than 65 F, or hotter than 100 F (that is just an estimate).
Remember this is floor temps, you should have a thermometer with a probe to measure ground heat.
Check out my site.
Any questions please PM, I LOVE HELPING.

Lot's of folks use tile (the ceramic or stone type, not the PVC kind).

While you are deciding, put them on paper towels :main_yes:

And you are right, NO SAND!!!! :main_no:

i use a bath towel on the bottom of my tanks...i just cut it to size so it fits the bottom. it works really well, its soft and their nails dont get stuck in it (I tried t-shirt material but they get stuck on it). its really easy to clean also- when they poo just wait for it to dry a bit then pick it up with a tissue. when one side gets to dirty just flip it over, when both sides get dirty- throw it in the washer and hang dry. i have two 10gallons so one bath towel gives me 4, so when one set is in the wash, i have the other in the tank...its thick enough to make it so they are not (basically) walking straight on the glass (like the t-shirt) but thin enough so that the heat goes through sufficiently. let me know what ya think

Yeah, I would have thought that their little toes would get stuck in it (like that repti-carpet crap!!) but sounds like you put it to the test!! :)

Good idea :main_yes:
