Anyone ever had a little nip?

Just now I had Norma out of her tank. She was being her usual exploratory self wandering all over my desk and about my hands etc. I was taking photos and possibly getting a bit blahzay about sticking the camera in her face etc. She wasn't trying to get away though, she was just wandering, stopping, wandering, stopping. She was licking all around and then weirdly I put my hand out, she started licking my finger like usual then instead of climbing on she gave me a little nip! It didn't hurt but gave me a fair surprise! Ha

She didn't rear up as though to attack, and she didn't kind of 'go for it' she was just licking and then a little bite. This was just before feeding time. Perhaps she was just checking what my pinkie finger was? ha

Anyone else experienced this? I picked her up after and she did a minor squirm but nothing too "get the hell off me". What does it mean? Or is she still just young?

She's now chasing crickets about her tank as we speak, she can bite them all she wants, ha.

Ah....I picked the box of crickets up before. Perhaps just that was enough?

It happens, she probably tasted cricket, though some just bite to bite, and then they typicaly break skin.

She didn't break the skin but it was pretty funny. As long as she's not gonna be pissed off with me now we're all good, ha.

Yeah Charmeleon has mistaken my finger for a meal worm before but it doesn't hurt but it always gives you a shock haha

lol... Have had that happen a couple times from my youngest raptor. That is why I named her Nippy. Every now and then she does it and once she has she climbs into my hand.
