I have one that a petstore gave me because they were going to 'get rid of it' as to what that means I didn't want to ask.
It only has 3 legs and a small crack in his jaw (which looks like it happen recently). I haven't taken a picture of him yet because he was been hiding in a box until recently.
I did finally start to see him hanging out in his water tray and on his little perch (he seems to have taken an interest in the anole's in the tank on the other side of the shelf).
I'll see if I can get a pic of him later to put up.
Right now he is pretty small so I am assuming he is pretty young (assuming he is a he also) and he is about 12 inches snout to tail.
He is sitting in a 20 gallon tank for the time being as that as the largest size that I have available at the moment (I picked him up about 2 weeks ago). He was in a 10 gallon setup for a while at the petstore I got him from.
I know these guys need lots of room and read on sites that they can get as big as 3 feet at times (often mistaken for mini iguana's or something like that) so I plan on getting a 50 gallon eventually when I get the time to search around for one.
I saw him eat once which was the first day I got him (went to town on about 15 super worms) but havent since then but he has been poopin on a daily basis so I am assuming he has been eating.
These guys are certainly a lot different than leo's. My fiance laughes because he acts like he runs off a on/off switch. He'll just sit there with his eyes closed for the longest time then all of the sudden he'll open them up and then dart across the tank then go back to closing his eyes.
I do find it gross though how they poop in the water. I have a small tub about half the size of the tank on the bottom with branches going across the entire setup for him to lay on.
Oh. My dragon can be pretty calm, but he gets his moment where he just leap up and run then just stay still and come back. He haven't been eating much since its winter though. My cage is about 6' tall 29" wide and 29" deep, planning to upgrading it to 4' wide. You should not get the 50 gallon, either build one out of wood and stuff (humidity) or buy a reptarium 260 gallon tall, its ALOT harder to keep humidity in but its cheap, I covered 3 of the sides w/ this type of paper to help keep humidity in, and I got a 20 gallon pond for him in there w/ lives plants. Spray about 1-2 maybe 3 bottles of water (size of a soda bottle) everyday
This is a terrible picture because I took it with my phone, my digital camera is currently injured, but I wanted to show him off anyway. His name is Nosferatu.
