Would appreciate some help!!

I already have a leopard gecko but have recently acquired another gecko. My dad works at a large container dock in UK and found a gecko in one of the containers, RSPCA did not want to take it and was happy for him to bring it home, but I don't know what it is!!

Had him for a couple of months now and it has put on lots of weight and shed several times so seems pretty happy. I have it set up in a terrestrial habitat.

It is approx 4" in length, changes colour at night, dark brown in the day almost yellow colour at night. The closest match I have found on the internet is a Mediterranean gecko, do you think thats correct?!

It has also started digging alot the last week, whats that about?!

Where was this container from?
It would give some of us a starting point.
Im assuming that it can climb up walls? (sticky feet).

Cheers he is very cool!!

No sticky feet he has claws and is digging everything up at the moment, doesn't have eyelids either!! Quite spiney skin with the little white dots on it and changes colour every evening. Am guessing it is something common to where ever it came from. But was wondering about the digging thing, do you think it wants to burrow...? In which case it needs more substrate, or is it just messing its house up?!

Have set it up like my leopard with just a heat mat which it does seem to be happy with and grown loads (making up for prob not eating for a few months!)

Container they think came from China, but most likely stopped a few times on the way.
