Hi,
I was looking for a second cage besides my ExoTerra PT2614 and came upon http://www.customcages.com
I love their cage sizes as they provide pretty big floor space and they are stackable, the only problem I have is, that according to an information of their sales team uth are not recomended with their cages.
Does anyone here own one of their cages and how did you solve the heating issues? I really would like to provide belly heat to my leos.
Thx in advance,
Dennis

I know it would kind of defeat the object of owning the cage however...
If you are any good at diy, why not use an uth but, get some glass runners, fix them to either end of the viv, and get a pane of glass that can fit it, then you can place a sort of island in the middle of the viv to stablise it, that way you can have an undertank heater, still have some substrate and it will have enough space between the uth and the glass so it does not overheat. (Providing you are connected to a thermostat of course), I love a bit of diy i built all my own cages LOL! however if you are into it this may be of use to you :).

Thank you for your help. Both for bumping it up and for suggesting the detailed modifications. I send them an email about it and they said that UTHs are not recommended for their cages and that they promote ceramic heating coils to heat up an enclosure. They suggested putting a rock under the heat emitter and with that heat it up.

As for doing those changes myself ... well my handyman skills would under guaranty render the cage unusable :) I guess I will just have to look for a different vendor in this case. As much as I love my Exo tanks, they are not stackable and I am running out of room for additional terrariums ;-)

No problems, Have you thought about building a racking system?
They can be very effective and dont take up much space if you have the right equiptment.
Im in the process of building one now and a home made incubator ill be posting both threads up once they are made. =D
