Are there any companies shipping meal worms right now with a guaranteed live arrival? My usual places are not...
Preferred they be in the North East US.

Thanks!

Most will only do so if the temps in your area fall between a certain range. If it's less than 90 degrees there, someone posted an ad in the last 24 hours in this forum that had a live arrival guarantee.
I have nevwr usedthem, so can't attest to their business.

Yes I was going to order from Grubco but this is on the first page...
"Due to the hot temperatures, we are not able to guarantee live
delivery at this time. If you place an order, it will be shipped
with no guarantee. This means if your order arrives dead, no
replacements or credit will be given. If you do not understand
this policy, please give us a call at 800-222-3563 before placing
your order. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience."

Search on ebay or craigslist If they are selling them on ebay they MUST offer a gaurentee on their product. If its on craigslist.org then you might be able to find a local pick up place.

Even try your local exotic pet stores you would be surprised as to what they carry. I use to get mine from pet goods 250 for $3 :main_thumbsup:

I live in a crappy city >_<
No one on craigslist is selling meal worms.

Ebay.. meh no small meal worms

The local reptile store was closed... looked like the guy had cleared the place out. Now when I say that I mean that it was not FULL of junk like normal... it was semi respectable but I noticed the turtles were gone from the floor case they are kept in and stuff like that. I doubt he went out of business but maybe he went out of town?
I dont know the guy is so weird and creepy I hate going there. He is out to make a buck and it smells awful in his store. Last time I bought super worms in bulk from him, he breeds all his feeders himself for the most part and I noticed chunks of egg shells in with the worms. To say that least I was really angry... None of my geckos got sick though so Owell!

I bought mealworms from the local small chain store and at least 50% of them were dead. They gave me extra but still...

/sigh

Eggshell usually contains 94% to 97% calcium carbonate. If the eggshells were washed off before he used them then I don't see a big deal with it. He just obviously didn't want to clean them out of the mealworms that well.

The guy had used egg crate that was used for chicken eggs. I thought this was a big no no...
