Just a heads up about the "incubator"... this item has been sold in many different places for prices ranging from $99-$249 ... But its basically a mini-fridge/warmer.. if you really want to get it I would suggest looking @ www.thinkgeek.com they are selling it cheaper then anyone else. Also the temp isn't perfect so if you do get it make sure you have 2 probes in it to watch temps on top and bottom. Heard it was a 3-4 degree difference so depending on what you incubate at, could mess up your plans for sexes

I was looking for the thread but we have had a long discussion about the MR-148. I use it for my males and it holds temps within .1 very efficiently. The problem with it is the placement of the probe for the digital temp controller is not located in the main chamber and thus your temps are off. You have to set it up similar to hovas with a bag of water and I have the digital (on the inc) reading about 95 and am having temps inside the SIM at 88.5. If you get it just make sure you set it all up before you just put eggs in. I love mine almost as much as my NS incs.

Get the mr-148. I have had very good success with it. You just have to set it up right (calibrate it for your desired temps). For your price range it is one of my favorite incs I use/used.

I'm useing that kind now. It infact is a mini fridge. I ordered it form Lllreptile too. Right on the box it says mini fridge:main_laugh: we got a good laugh about that. And like the pervious person said its not perfect but it has worked for me. I have mine set at 85, and a theremotere right on the rack with the conater that reads 82 and in the contair(where i put another thermometer) it says 80 so there is some difference ya just gotta figure it out;D I much prefer this one to a hovas. can hold quite a few clutchs too;D i recommened it.
