For most of you today is just another Wednesday. For the Hokie Nation today is a day of mourning, healing, and hope.

Today I ask that you say a little prayer, or whatever it is you do, for the families who lost sons and daughters; for the friends who lost confidantes; for the teachers would lost students; for the students who lost teachers; and for the Hokies who mourn for the loss of them all.

We are Virginia Tech. And we are prevailing!

I basically grew up in Virginia and if I hadn't have moved (I was still 17 so I pretty much had to) I most likely would have been going to Virginia Tech, and I know a few people from my high school that went there. I can't believe it's been a year already, it feels like it was only yesterday. You will all be in my prayers and thoughts!
