Aquarium rack system!

So I got this big book shelf with no backing and a CRAP load of aquariums, 30 gallons, 20 gallon, 29 gallon, tall 20 gallon tanks... ect ect.

Now most of the tanks are too tall to go up right on the book shelf sooo I"m going to put them on their side (cuz leopard geckos don't need much height) and have the open area as the back!! I'm going build a sliding glass door type thing, with LOTS of ventlation and easy access. This way the sides of the tank, which has a lot of space I dont use will be the floor space!! I've figured it all out and it will be perfect, it will definitely still be tall enough, and MORE SPACE!

So my question is, has anyone done this before? Any tips? Ideas? Comments?!

Don't worry I'll post a picture of the finished product (hopefully early October!) I'm also going to be using heat tape for heating... I don't know if I"m going to place tile for substrate and some how work the heat tape underneath the tile, or if I"m going to put it under the tank... People have heated floors, why not heated tile right?! lol
