Are Lizard hammacks safe for Geckos?

I was thinking about getting a lizard hammack for my Gecko but I wasn't sure if that was safe. I was afraid she might get her toes stuck in it & break a leg or something?

Good question! I have a hammock for my gecko and she doesn't seem to have any problems with it at all. My main concern was about them getting stuck while trying to go between the hammock and the glass, but that was easily solved by positioning the hammock so that there is plenty of room on the sides. I've seen quite a few people use the hammocks, so I'll be curious to see if anyone has had any trouble with them.

We have a hammock and I have never seen any of our geckos get their claws stuck or anything, so no worries :main_thumbsup:

The only downside is that they have made the hammock their bathroom! I think many others have that problem as well

Sounds good. I think I will have to give it a try. I just never seen anywhere on Gecko any mention of the hammacks so I figured no one had any problems or they just didn't use them. I had to be sure. I will have to go & get one. Thanks again!

I had a hammock for one of my geckos and he made it his bathroom (as Jess mentioned). I ended up throwing it out--haha. Good luck with yours!

They did enjoy it a lot before they made it their bathroom
