Artificial breeding season?

So I missed the height of this years breeding season for a stupid reason, my male has a tail kink and I bred him last year, but I didn't want to this year because I figured he had bad genetics. Well last week at Repticon I figured out that tail kinks can happen from incubation too, so it was a really dumb idea not to breed. I think he might have bred to my female because they are paired up right now and I hear his tail all of the time. AND I saw the female licking "down under" if you will, usually means that he has done copulation, BUT point is, I want to do some breeding over the summer Because now I can put a lot more money into it, and im in highschool. How do I create a breeding season? Don't I have to lower temps or something like that, I have Ron Tremper's book so I can easily look this info up but I would like others opinions! Thanks a lot! :D

Some people have been able to get their females to ovulate at different times of the year by changing the lighting around (recreating the seasons based on the amount of light during each day). At this point, your female is likely still ovulating and if you put the male with her it's very likely she'll lay eggs. If she's done ovulating, you're not going to get her started again at this point because it's normal for them to go into a dormant period. I would continue to breed them and see if anything "develops" as opposed to "messing with mother nature" at this point of the season.

Thanks a lot! Im actually kind of mad at myself because at the beginning of the season I put my male pattern-less in and he was about to mount her and she was letting him and everything but I stopped them, because I was determined I was going to get a new better male, but it never happened. But, all I can say is I am still kind of new to this so it was just a mistake and I learn for my mistakes, I am happy because I am now able to put a lot more money into it :) So I think I will get some Juvies and raise them up over the summer and breed next year :) Thanks for the tip

What about a few months down the road? Will it then be possible?

You can always try. No guarantees. To me it seems to be easier to just wait and let nature take its course, but it's up to you.
