At last, my introduction :)

Hi there, I already posted a couple of times, but still wanted to properly introduce myself. My name is Johanna, I live in CO with my husband and two young children. Until the beginning of this year we had only ever had furry pets, but both my kids and myself have now developed allergies to cats and some of us to dogs also. We had been looking at reptiles for a long time, and finally decided to get two cute little Leopard Geckos. We really enjoy those little guys, and as a newbie to the whole gecko thing I am very glad I found this place, so much great advice, so many knowledgeable people.

So as for right now our zoo consists of our two geckos, the kids named them Camo and Masterchief, then we still have our dog, and two cats. Yep, kept the cats even with us being allergic. My cat is 15 and not going anywhere until nature says so.

Welcome to GF. Geckos are a great alternative to people with allergies. Just be careful about the mealworms or roaches if you feed them because some of us have developed allergies to these feeders (go figure).
