It's always promising, but with the weather, I wouldn't really count on it.
I went one year with similar foercasted weather, and it was horrible. Only half the vendors showed.
I'm debating on going. Just not sure if it'll be worth it, or if it's better to just wait till the mid-year show they do in July. If I lived closer, I'd be definitely going, but even just an hour and a half drive makes me doubtful. Plus, scared I'll find something I want to buy like last time, and I'm trying not to spend right now.
I wanted to pick up a 65 gallon tank from glasscages, but I just don't want to spend the $148 to get it and the screen. I'm being cheap.
Im about 3 hours away, And im definitely going to be there. Yeah, Ill stop by Mike... I seen your name on the vendor's list and i will admit, i got excited. Im sure ill spend some money that i dont need to spend at yours and Paul Allen's Tables.
Come on out people!.....We're drivin' 11 hours to do this show and meet some new leo addicts!.....Givin' forum members special pricing....and probably even a little "tough man/wicked weather" discount .....Looking forward to seeing a few of you guys (and gals) there!!......
So I guess im gonna get a hell of a discount then?!?! j/k Im not missing this show... even though I do have to drive through the "horrible snow storm" that is supposed to hit my area.
I'll be there! I'm only in Athens, so it's just an hour drive for me. I probably shouldn't go (I'm already at my saturation point with my reptiles), but I always enjoy it. ^_~
And bah, snow? Ice? Southerners are so soft!! It's supposed to be above freezing anyway, so I doubt the major roads will be anything but wet.
I stopped by yesterday. Not a bad show if you're close. Mike has a huge collection of geckos with him with some real gems hidden in there. Worth the trip.
I hang out with Kasey (Riyo) yesterday. Man, we're the two worst people to hang out together EVER. She went home with a ball python and a gecko, and I went home with two ball pythons DESPITE the fact that I told myself firmly that I wasn't going to buy anything! But of course, Kasey had to put that adorable baby girl on hold and then decide to buy a bigger female. I couldn't let that female go to anyone I didn't know!
Geez... I had to buy a new shelving unit today to reorganize everything too. Thanks Kasey for the peer pressure! XD They're lovely snakes.
We saw Mike too. He had some gorgeous animals for sale and quite an extensive collection. Best leos at the show by far!
