Hey, I am new to the leopard gecko world, but so far loving it. It has been about 2 months since I bought my first. She was sold to me from a breeder who said she was about 12 years old, and has a missing toe. She is a lovely girl, but she is frustrating me!
She is having regular BM's and has she 2 times that I have caught.
She is housed in a 15 Gallon tank, repticarpet as substrate.
Has 2 hides and a moisture box at all times
Her temperatures are in the area of 73 in the cold side and 95 in the warm side.
I use a redheat lamp as well as a UTH for her warm side.
Here is my issue,
When she is interested in eating, for example today, she will eat one right off the bat, then continue hunting. She will go after another but they get away and she just gives up. I don't leave the crickets in there with her so I'll give her about an hour then take them out.
Could she be blind or just plain lazy? I've tried mealworms, but they don't seem to appease her.
Sorry for the post being so long.
Thanks so much,
Kaity&Leona
