I got bit twice today (cleaning the aquariums)
They are new and maybe a bit stressed.

Well it could be because they are still small and scared, but my Blizzard is a total butt! lol I've heard from other owners of them they can have quite the attitude.

I'm going with scared. The larger one made this hiss/squeak before it bit me. don't know if that means anything.

Well, it just means that he tried to warn you before biting. They make this noise when they want to be left alone, and if they don't persuade you, then attack.

I beleive that the blizzards were inbred when they first came about, so most of them do hav epretty abd tempers.

I got a PA that has a blizzard's attitude! LOL. I got bitten MANY times during his first month with us; there was one time he even jumped up in mid air try to get my finger...lol. Now after 4 months, he got used to my hand, no more pecking and biting, but turned against my husband's hand, now his hand becomes his no.1 enemy (he just got bitten last night, ROFL).

Well, I don't know about blizzards, but my tang made that hiss noise and bit when she was younger and I tried to get her bad shed off. So it sounds like it could be the fact that it is a blizzard, but I was say it is just young and scared.
